From time to time, your specialist may recommend personalized supplies and materials to be purchased and kept in your home as well.
Materials used will likely evolve over time as needs and abilities change.

We meet our clients in their preferred service location. This could be in their own private home, retirement or assisted living, long-term care, hospital, or at community programs and facilities.
Should unique transportation services be required, we can facilitate these arrangements.

Session lengths are determined based on assessment of the individual and/or consultation with care partners.
Our minimum engagement is two hours to allow for an appropriate warm-up period, activity participation, and wind-down period.

In the interest of person-centered care, we do our best to schedule sessions during a time that best suits the needs of our clients - daytime, evenings, and weekends.

2-hour minimum: $150 + HST
Additional hours: $60 + HST
We only charge for time spent in a direct therapeutic capacity with our clients.
There is no charge for the initial consultation, care partner communications, preparation for sessions, basic materials, or documentation.
All services are tax deductible and covered by many private insurance plans.

Absolutely! This is foundational to building trust and familiarity for a strong therapeutic relationship. You can count on us to be reliable, consistent, and dedicated to positive client experiences with every session.

Too many to list here! Check out our activities page to learn more. Activity choices are guided by a person-centered approach. This means we work collaboratively with the client and/or care partners to consider the client’s goals, strengths, needs, and interests when selecting activities.

Yes. If our client has an interest in activities in the community, we do everything possible to enable participation.

We are able to provide cueing for personal care tasks, basic dietary support, continence care, and medication reminders during our client sessions. Recreation therapy can be a power tool to inject fun and encouragement into activities of daily living.
Should the needs of our client exceed our scope of practice, we are happy to offer referrals from our professional network.

We value timely, accurate, and clear communication. In addition to regular in-person or telephone communication, we provide care partners with access to detailed notes following every session.
